TEXASgenuine - education and training above all other career and technical education trainings because it is TEXAS focused.
Why Career & Technical Education? Career and Technical Education (CTE) has had a strong presence at individual institutions in the state of Texas for more than 20 years. Identifying a unified voice for all CTE programs across Texas has been a vision. Funding for this effort has been provided through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board with Discretionary Leadership funds received from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006.
Through the planning of a CTE Marketing Project (grant funded) Advisory Group, comprised of members from colleges, TSTC’s, and Tech Preps across the state, it was determined that statewide Branding and Strategic Marketing for CTE programs of Texas Community Colleges and TSTC’s, needed to be developed. This brand message will be utilized statewide in communication products that will recruit, promote, market, and celebrate CTE and Higher Education to both internal and external audiences.
Why TEXASgenuine? Through research based efforts, Interact Communications, rolled out and presented to the CTE Marketing Project Advisory Group, Fall 2010 TACTE attendees, and Fall 2010 CTE Marketing Workshop attendees (invited community college Marketing Vice Presidents and Directors, and CTE Vice Presidents and Deans) the TEXASgenuine brand message.
What is TEXASgenuine? Real … True … Honest … Value … Done to TEXAS Standards and TEXAS Expectations. The programs are valuable, trusted, inspire pride, and promote education that delivers. Career and Technical Education that is delivered is TEXASgenuine.
